NieR: Automata gets Stunning Japanese Boxart

Square Enix has revealed the Japanese boxart for NieR: Automata, and its pretty gorgeous.

NieR: Automata is set for release in Japan on February 23, 2017, so it only makes sense that Square Enix has finally released the boxart for the game. The action-RPG’s box was revealed on Twitter, and it looks pretty good.

The art was drawn by Akihiko Yoshida who also designed the game’s characters. His other work includes Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and Bravely Default. The US and European boxart has not been revealed, but we’re unlikely to get this design. Square Enix is well-known for releasing very different boxarts across different regions. We’ll just have to wait and see what North America and Europe will get.

NeiR: Automata is out February 23, 2017 in Japan. The release date for North America and Europe has not been announced.
