With so many platformers on the market, it can be tough to stand out. Drop Alive looks to gain attention in a variety of ways. First off, it features cute hand drawn artwork.
Second, the core gameplay of controlling a drop of water means you can swap between the states of water. For example, platforming may require you at times to become a gas, or in other times become a solid block of ice to progress.
A third attempt at differentiation is by offering Drop Alive entirely for free on Steam. There are no in-app purchases to be found, just a Deluxe Edition if anyone wishes to support the developers and receive artwork in return. Drop Alive will launch on December 6.
