Star Wars Battlefront has been a well-regarded game since its launch last year. The reboot of the beloved Battlefront franchise merged the large-scale combat of Star Wars with the equally large-scale Battlefield engine and created something that gave many players a gateway into the world of first-person shooters. Today, the first-ever Star Wars entry in VR was released as Battlefront’s Rogue One VR mission is now available free of charge.
Anyone can download it, but you do have to have Star Wars Battlefront to play it as it is classified as an add-on for that game. This is somewhat surprising, and goes against what Activision recently did with the Jackal VR Mission for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare by making it free for anyone to enjoy. Nonetheless, this is a fine free update for Battlefront owners who have at least 1.8 GB of free space on their PS4 hard drives.
