Actvision and Vicarious Visions have officially confirmed that the studio is on board to help develop Destiny.
Vicarious Visions took to their Facebook page to make the announcement, though they did not confirm what exactly they’d be working on. They posted a Destiny picture declaring the following:
“Vicarious Visions is excited to announced that we are partnering with Bungie to further expand the Award-Winning Destiny Universe,”
The New York-based developer has long been rumored to be jumping on the Destiny bandwagon. A report back in September claimed that Vicarious Visions was bring brought on to help Bungie and High Moon Studios with the sequel. Specifically, Vicarious Visions is being brought in to handle the rumored PC version. Obviously, this report needs to still be taken with a grain of salt, but it was correct in saying that Vicarious Visions is on board.
Destiny 2 is expected to launch fall 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Vicarious Visions is well-known for helping Activision port games to different platforms. They’ve recently been heavily involved in the Skylanders games, and are currently working on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for PS4.
