Star Wars: The Old Republic has officially turned 5 today which in people years is quite young but for a massively multiplayer title it’s a very impressive milestone. Ringing in the celebration beyond the /dance and obligatory anniversary fireworks is an accolades trailer showing some of the more recent reasons to return to a galaxy far far away.
Along with the visual blockbuster comes a heartfelt letter from Producer Ben Irving where he details what’s made the journey the most powerful. There’s a lot to be thankful for and he touches on much of it but overall his gratitude is mostly shone on the fans. A massively multiplayer game cannot exist without a community and at the heart of the Star Wars universe has always been family.
“It is with that humble and grateful heart that I want to say thank you to all of you for being here over the years to share the journey with us and to help us translate the epic adventure that is Star Wars into a game you could love and share with your friends and families.”
