Horror Game Tattletail Taps Into ’90s Toy Nostalgia

With fond memories of the 90s being a constant source of amusement on the internet, it was only a matter of time before that sense of nostalgia made its way into video games. However, this indie title by new studio Waygetter Electronics takes those positive thoughts and turns them into something more devious, with their first-person horror title Tattletail.

Tattletail takes place in Christmas 1998, where you’ve just received the Furby-inspired gift of a Tattletail. However, this toy seems to have a mind of its own, and must be kept out of trouble so that the evil Mama Tattletail doesn’t hunt you down. The trailer below does an eerily accurate job of capturing some of the more memorable toy commercials of the 90s, and sets some high expectations for the scary nature of the game itself.

Tattletail is available now on Steam for $5.
