Atlus has moved to shut down rumors surrounding Persona 5 and Yakuza 0’s exclusivity.
Persona 5 was always presented as being PlayStation exclusive titles. However, PlayStation EU recently put out a video putting its exclusivity into question. During the 2017 Lineup trailer, Persona 5 was labelled as ‘PS4 Console Exclusive,’ setting off speculation that the game could be coming to PC. Turns out that was done in error.
Atlus USA PR manager John Hardin took to Twitter to confirm that Persona 5 will only release on PS4 and PS3. He also re-confirmed that Yakuza 0 (published by parent company, Sega, and labelled properly) will be available only on PS4. The label that Sony used in the Lineup trailer had nothing to do with Atlus or Sega.
Persona 5 platforms: PS3, PS4.
Yakuza 0 platforms: PS4.
No Switch. No PC. Idk about the box label, that's a Sony thing. pic.twitter.com/8R3Qj36deA

The 2017 Lineup trailer seems to be plagued with numerous labeling errors. NieR: Automata was labelled as a PS4 exclusive despite already being confirmed for PC, and PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida revealed that Detroit: Become Human and Dreams are not confirmed for 2017 like the trailer says. Nioh is also labelled as a ‘PS4 Console Exclusive’ despite the fact that Sony is publishing the game. Despite these errors, PlayStation EU has yet to pull the trailer or publish an edited version.
Persona 5 is out April 4 in North America and Europe for PS4 and PS3. Yakuza 0 hits PS4 exclusively on January 24 in North America and Europe.
