Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night fans and Kickstarter backers alike got a development update from famed Castlevania director Koji Igarashi today. There’s also a short video showing fans the village they’ll pass through on their way to the primary setting.
The village resides near the game’s prominent castle and acts as a pitstop of sorts where you’ll shop and even combat a few ghoulies. Inspired by a contemporary saying from Hampshire, England, Iga and his team aimed to make this village “dark as night and red as blood.” You’ll also meet the previously revealed character Johannes at this location. Watch the video below to see what this spiritual successor has been brewing!
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will release sometime in early 2018. Please look forward to it.
