Mass Effect: Andromeda Has No Season Pass

Developer Bioware’s sci-fi RPG Mass Effect: Andromeda will not have a Season Pass for any of the DLC released for the game according to Bioware Vice President Aaron Flynn on Twitter.

When asked by a fan if the latest installment in the series would have a Season Pass, Flynn succinctly responded, “Nope.”

One of EA’s biggest titles Titanfall released last year with no Season Pass, perhaps showing a trend that the publisher is moving away from bundled DLC altogether. However, their other premier shooter Battlefield 1 had a $49.99 Premium Pass at launch that included all DLC for the game.

Flynn didn’t give away anything in relation to what this means for whether or not there will be future story or multiplayer DLC or if it will be paid or free saying, “We’ll talk more about that later :)”

Both Mass Effect 2 and 3 received story DLC and Mass Effect 3 had a hefty amount of multiplayer DLC. Mass Effect: Andromeda comes out on March 21 on PC, PS4, Xbox One.
