Major Nelson announced today that seven new Xbox 360 games have been added to the Xbox One’s backwards compatible lineup. Strainia, The Splatters, Scrap Metal, and Ghostbusters were the first set of games announced – with the latter easily being the biggest name of the bunch. This follow-up to the beloved ’80s movie franchise was as close to a Ghostbusters III as fans ever got, and offered up some third-person ghostbusting and a lot of laughs.
The second batch of games includes Dragon Age Origins, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3. EA Access users can effectively turn the Xbox One into the ultimate Battlefield and Dragon Age device with the first and third games of that series playable on the system now – and Inquisition is included with EA Access. Likewise, Battlefield 4 and Hardline are playable via EA Access too, so owners of all of these games can really go on some binge gaming sessions now.
