Online play has never been Nintendo’s strong suit, but that hasn’t stopped the hardware publisher from offering the paid Nintendo Switch Online Service, that is required to play games online on their new console.
The paid Nintendo Switch Online Service allows gamers to play games online, participate in lobbies in voice chat, exclusive deals on eShop titles and perhaps the biggest development the ability to download one NES or SNES virtual console game per month.
The Nintendo Online Service also features a number of options for non-subscribers. A friends list, screenshot sharing and access to the Nintendo Switch app are all available for free to all Nintendo Online Service subscribers.
A full list of the options is available to users below and you can learn more about the service here at Nintendo’s official page.
