Entire First Shipment of Switches Reserved at GameStop

Don’t expect to get a Nintendo Switch on day one at GameStop, as every one of them has been pre-ordered. You’ll have to wait until the next shipment of Nintendo’s new console if you haven’t already made your reservation.

“The fact that this initial allotment has been completely reserved in a matter of a few days demonstrates gamers desire for this fun and revolutionary gaming system,” said Bob Puzon, senior VP of merchandising at GameStop. “We’re working closely with Nintendo to get additional Nintendo Switch units, and will let our customers know when they become available. We encourage customers to visit gamestop.com/switch and sign up to get updates about the product and availability.”
If you want to get a hold of some games, though, pre-orders are still open for the Switch’s launch games, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch for $59.99 and $49.99, respectively.
Either way, the Switch will be out on March 3. For more coverage on all of the new details released this weekend at the New York Switch event, check out Hardcore Gamer.
