Sony announced today that the first batch of downloadable content for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is available now on the PS4. It will follow on PC and Xbox One in 30 days – so PS4 users can tell their Xbox One and PC-user friends about it and either recommend it or tell them to hold off on it. Four new maps join the fray as Neon, Noir, Dominion, and Renaissance are available as part of the pack. One takes the Afghan map from Modern Warfare 2 and puts it on Mars, while the cast of Zombies in Spaceland has been thrown into a new horror film – Rave in the Redwoods. This rave doesn’t just let you play as those characters, but also Kevin Smith as you hack, slash, and shoot to bits a bevy of zombies in a neon-soaked world.
Sabotage’s maps give you the rain-soaked Noir, which looks like something out of a dystopian film. Renaissance looks like something out of an Assassin’s Creed game, and gives you a great sense of history within the in-game world. Neon offers up a voxel-based world at points where you face a new set of enemies from time to time. Dominion is an outdoor desert-themed area that would also be right at home within a Titanfall game. It features many areas to run up, hide, and snipe from – each of the maps offers up something different in terms of look and feel and also mixes things up from the futuristic feel in IW itself.
