Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets New Key Art

Square Enix and Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura have released a new piece of key art for the upcoming game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is among one of the most anticipated games releasing of this-generation. Fans went ballistic when it was first announced at E3 2015, but aside from an early look at gameplay during PlayStation Experience 2015, not much else has been shown of the game. Square Enix has been reluctant to show the game, and, despite today being the game’s 20 year anniversary, did not show off any new footage at their Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Celebration.

That isn’t to say Final Fantasy VII Remake fans didn’t get anything. Square Enix did release a new piece of key art featuring Cloud and Sephiroth, Final Fantasy VII’s famous antagonist. It’s a beautiful piece of art, but we do wish we got some new footage with it.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch exclusively on PS4 at some point, though it won’t be anytime soon. Hopefully we’ll get to see more of the game at some point this year.
