For Honor gets Open Beta Ahead of Launch

Ubisoft will give players the chance to try For Honor before they buy it.

All players will be able to go hands-on with For Honor before its Valentine’s Day launch. Ubisoft has confirmed that all players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be able to download and play the For Honor open beta. The beta will take place February 9 through February 12, and allow players to try out fighters from each faction.

In the beta, players will be able to participate in the new Elimination mode – a best-out-of-five series of 4v4 matches with no respawns – as well as Dominion, Brawl, and Duel. Progress made in the War of the Factions will allow players to claim rewards when the full game launches.

Finally, before the beta begins, Ubisoft will be hosting a special Twitch stream to continue the War of the Factions and show off Elimination. Guest appearances will be made by Lauren Cohan, Jason Momoa, Alfie Allen, and Demetrious Johnson. The livestream begins February 7 at 2pm PST.

For Honor is out February 14 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Be sure to check out our recent preview of the game to see what’s up with For Honor.
