Independent developer Stoic has announced that the conclusion of their turn-based tactical RPG series, The Banner Saga 3, has been successfully funded on Kickstarter just a week after it was initially launched.
In their announcement, Stoic co-founder John Watson said, “We’re thrilled to have funded the Kickstarter in less than a week. Once again it’s down to the amazing support of the community, and we truly appreciate every backer that has helped us reach our funding goal
Stoic launched the project on Kickstarter with a goal of $200,000 to finish the series that began with the original The Banner Saga in 2014, which was kickstarted as well, and was followed up by The Banner Saga 2 mid last year.
With their initial goal met, the developer has now announced their first stretch goal which features the introduction of playable Dredge and that they will be announcing more stretch goals in the future.
The Banner Saga 3 is targeted for release on PC in 2018.
