Week 3 Day 3 NA LCS Spring Split Predictions

I called it! I mean I thought Echo Fox would win, but I also said that because I thought that they would lose to Team Liquid who aren’t playing well at all. Regardless, here’s the rankings going into day three:

1)  Cloud9 (5-0)

2) Phoenix1, FlyQuest, Team SoloMid  (4-1)

5) Echo Fox, Immortals (2-3)

7) Team Liquid (2-4)

8) Team Dignitas, Counter Logic Gaming (1-4)

10) Team Envy (1-5)

Kicking things off is the matchup of the week in Phoenix1 and Team SoloMid. Phoenix1 have impressively kept themselves at the top of the standings behind some strong play along with their opponents Team SoloMid. I think it’s fair to say that TSM has had the harder schedule up to this point having taken on C9, Immortals and CLG. Phoenix1 on the other hand have only lost to Dignitas who haven’t won since.

This should make for a good match with a great jungle and mid lane matchup. I’m going with TSM here because I think their decision making will be the difference maker here. I don’t doubt Inori and Ryu will make it difficult, but I trust in Bjerg.

Currently, CLG and Dig are tied for 8 in the standings which is second to last. Whoever wins here will be able to separate themselves from the bottom of the barrel and take that home for what it’s worth. I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t trust Dig after this incredible collapse from week one or should I say Match 1. They remind me of NRG their first split when they had Impact and GBM, but were barely a decent team. CLG should be able to take this one home, but only because Dig just isn’t all the way there.

FlyQuest made quick work of the aforementioned Dignitas yesterday and should do the same here with Immortals. Hai has dominated his lane for the most part and spread that across the map with the help of Moon. While I thought P.O.B. was playing well maybe my vision was jaded. He hasn’t looked so hot as of late which doesn’t bode well for them today. FlyQuest shouldn’t have any issues here.

Last but not least is the undefeated C9 and Echo Fox. Echo Fox has rattled off a few wins, but man they couldn’t close today. They just made poor decision after poor decision and lost the third game to Team Liquid. I’m expecting C0 to keep the trend going and finish with another 2-0 week.

Here are the predictions for today’s matchups and my record going into the final day in bold: (10-6)

  • Phoenix1 vs Team SoloMid (1-2)
  • Team Dignitas vs Counter Logic Gaming (1-2)
  • Immortals vs FlyQuest (0-2)
  • Cloud9 vs Echo Fox (2-0)
