As evidenced by our many, many previews, For Honor is one of our most anticipated games of the first half of 2017. The title has showed loads of promise in its beta and is one of the more unique AAA games this year. While we didn’t exactly expect the game to come to Nintendo’s latest console, Ubisoft has today confirmed that For Honor will indeed not be released on Switch.
“It’s not something that we’re focused on,” said For Honor Director Jason VandenBerghe talking with Trusted Reviews. “We’ve been in development on For Honor for a long time and the question of ‘Will this game work?’ is the big thing. I just want to get the game out on the core platform and see who plays it. Once we’re there and we’ve established if we’re successful, then I think we can look at where we’re gonna go from here. It’s weird, but it’s not even a question we’re addressing right now.”
So there goes any hope of playing the game on the go (not including remote play, of course). For Honor will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 14; stay tuned later that week for our review.
