PlayStation Now Dumping PS3 and Vita Support

In a post today on the PlayStation blog, Sony announced that after April 1 of this year, they will be discontinuing support for their streaming service PlayStation Now on the PlayStation 3, Vita, Sony Blu-ray players, as well as Samsung and Bravia TVs.

“After thoughtful consideration, we decided to shift our focus and resources to PS4 and Windows PC to further develop and improve the user experience on these two devices,” said Sony Senior Marketing Manager Brian Dunn. “This move puts us in the best position to grow the service even further. If you use any of the above devices, we want to give our heartfelt thanks for your support, and we hope you’ll continue with us.”

PlayStation Now is available now  for PS4 and PC for $20 a month, $45 for 3 months or $100 for a year in North America and other territories.
