Last month at the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Final Fantasy, Square Enix announced a “Booster Pack+” DLC. It is now available to all Season Pass holders. This pack contains powerful items that will give players an advantage and improve their fishing skills, as well. The items included are Ragnarok, Dragon Drain, and Avior. Ragnarok is a single handed sword that allows players to perform powerful Warp-strike attacks. The Dragon Drain is a fishing rod that suppresses the movement of fish, therefore making them easier to catch. Lastly, the Avior is a reel that can pull fish in with greater strength. The Booster Pack that includes the Magitek Exosuit will be released at a later date.
Other additions and improvements have been implemented into Final Fantasy XV. There will be two new music tracks from the upcoming action-RPG NieR: Automata. These have been added to the music player to listen to either in the Regalia or on a chocobo. Square Enix also added timed quests that can give major boosts in XP and AP. Also included in this update will be a raise in the level cap from 99 to 120, the total number of saved photos increased from 150 to 200, the music while riding chocobos, and finally an increased framerate on PlayStation 4 Pro light mode.
Once an exclusive pre-order bonus, A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV will be available as a free download starting March 1st on the Xbox Games Store and the PlayStation Store. This game takes place a fictitious 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy XV. The game features retro-style graphics that are centered around a fast-paced combat system with influences from games today. The combat system blends intense attacks, magic, summons, and unique companion attacks into a singular gaming experience through three different locations in the Final Fantasy XV universe.
