Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Free on Steam This Weekend

The multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is free on Steam right now, with the free weekend running until Sunday at 1pm PST, according to a blog post on the Activision site.

Everything multiplayer-wise will be unlocked in the cut down version of the game, meaning you’ll be able to check out any and all of the guns you’d like to try out, and you can even prestige your character. Anything you do in the free version will also carry over to the full game if you were to buy it, so you won’t have to start over. The full game will also be discounted by 50%, with the Deluxe Legacy Edition knocked down 33%, which will include the main game, Modern Warfare Remastered and the Season Pass.

The next installment in the Call of Duty franchise might be ditching the jetpacks, as a slide from a recent Activision sales call noted that they will be taking the series “back to its roots.”
