Thrustmaster Introduces Ghost Recon Wildlands Headsets

Gaming headsets seem to be a dime a dozen. However, when players are looking to be at the top of their game, they need the best technology possible to get that advantage. Thrustmaster is looking to help gamers achieve peak performance while providing the best possible experience in the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. The company is releasing three officially licensed headsets to help gamers become immersed in the large open world action-adventure shooter. Communication will be key in this game in planning tactics, and these headsets aim to provide that experience. There will be two high-performance headsets and one universal headset.

The two high performance headsets will offer 7.1 Virtual Surround via the Y Sound Commander controller. The two models, Y-350P and Y-350X, will be console-exclusive headsets. The Y-350P will be available for the Xbox One, while the Y-350X will be on the PS4. This will mark the first use of the award-winning Y Sound Commander technology on this platform.

“In some sensitive situations – like when a team of four Ghosts, an elite unit of the U.S. Army, is stealthily carrying out high-risk missions in the rugged terrain of Bolivia – mastery of both speech and hearing takes on life-or-death importance. With its groundbreaking new headsets, Thrustmaster is taking these senses to a whole new level, allowing gamers to optimize their exchanges with team members: this results in crystal-clear intrasquad communication, and the ability to hear even the slightest sounds from far away, so as to be able to best anticipate and respond to whatever their hostile environments might throw at them. To achieve this, these headsets have been designed to reflect the game’s audio signature with pinpoint accuracy, using the Thrustmaster development teams’ own in-house, state-of-the-art anechoic chamber.”

The super-versatile Y-300CPX headset will be universal across all platforms. It is fully compatible with not just the PS4 and Xbox One, but also the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac. These headsets will be available on March 7 to coincide with the release of Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. The Y-300PX will retail for $59.99, while the Y-350X and Y-350P will retail for $129.99.
