Naughty Dog Co-President Christophe Balestra Leaves Studio

Christophe Balestra, the co-president of developer Naughty Dog, has decided to move on from the Sony developer after joining in 2002.

Shortly after Balestra joined as a programmer, he and fellow co-worker Evan Wells became co-presidents in 2005, where the two of them oversaw the creation of The Last of Us and the Uncharted franchise. In addition to plenty of praise for his Naughty Dog co-workers, Balestra hinted in his retirement announcement post that he would continue to program outside of his time with the developer, meaning that we may continue to see more gaming creations of his down the line.

Wells will become the sole president of Naughty Dog from here on out, as he oversees the production of the studio’s next two announced PS4 projects, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and The Last of Us 2, the former of which is set for release later this year.
