Dead Rising 4: Frank Rising, which takes place after the main game, has been given a release date.
Dead Rising 4 was fun, but it wasn’t without its faults. One of those faults was the fact that the game’s final chapter didn’t really work, and ended up an abrupt cliffhanger. Frank Rising, Dead Rising 4’s upcoming story expansion, aims to rectify this with a brand new plot that takes place after the main game.
In Frank Rising, Frank has been infected and must find a permanent cure or remain a member of the undead forever. As a zombie, Frank can no longer heal by eating food, and must seek out human flesh for sustenance. Frank must find a cure, and save those he cares about, before the government wipes Willamette off the face of the planet.
Dead Rising 4: Frank Rising hits Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs on April 4. The DLC can be purchased standalone for $9.99, or as part of the $19.99 Season Pass. No word on when the DLC will release for the Steam version of the game.
Also coming soon is Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf for Xbox One and Windows 10. Players will be able to navigate the greens of Willamette Mall in this satirical mini-game. Unlock specialized golf clubs, costumes, and balls as you take out the zombie horde with a wide range of power-ups. Mini Golf will be playable online with up to four players, or in the living room with turn-based co-op.
Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf can be purchased standalone for $9.99, or as part of the $19.99 Season Pass. Like with Frank Rising, there’s been no word on a Steam release.
