The female version of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s playable protagonist, Sara Ryder, has been given some better spotlight up front as opposed to the previous Mass Effect games’ “FemShep” female Shepard. It’s a sketchy line to walk when guessing just what version of your main character to show to get the most empathy and excitement from your fan-base, but Bioware do see fit to ensure that Sara Ryder is properly represented. Sure, people can just name her something else but different voice performances weave slightly different personalities that extend past just their sex. Needless to say, we thought Andromeda had some very strong points.
