Nintendo’s phenomenal work on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has roped in praise from countless reviews, but it didn’t come without flaws. Nintendo has just released a new patch to fix frame rate issues.
Breath of the Wild has some major frame rate issues, which is not surprising as it is the first open world game in the series, even on both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U, the game will tense up when there’s too much occurring on screen. Whether it’s riding your horse through an area and the landscape is struggling to generate around you, or Link is engaged in a duel with a guardian, those stutters in the frame rate have meant life or death for some players.
The patch is a big improvement to say the least, here YouTube user ElAnalistaDeBits has a side-by-side video comparison between build 1.1.0 version of the game and the newer patch 1.1.1.
Currently Nintendo has not stated the Wii U will be receiving the same patch, but it’s good to see Nintendo is working on fixing issues than leaving them linger.
