WWE and Sega Team Up for Tap Mania

WWE WrestleMania 33 is in the books, and WWE is following it up with an all-new mobile game announcement alongside Sega. Sega has announced a partnership with WWE for an all-new mobile game titled WWE Mat Mania. There hasn’t been much announced about a genre for it, but WWE has found mobile success before in a variety of genres. The mobile Mortal Kombat engine was used for WWE Immortals, while a three-in-a-row puzzler template was used for the new WWE Champions game.

WWE’s greatest mobile success is their card game WWE Supercard.¬†All that is known is that it will be released on both Google Play and iOS and be a free-to-play game. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for new information on it though, as both Sega and WWE have done quite well on mobile devices, and a partnership between the two companies makes sense in that realm. Hopefully, it’s a more wrestling-centric game than just a regular game with a wrestling theme to it, but time will tell just what kind of game they go for.
