WWE and Sega Team Up for Tap Mania

WWE WrestleMania 33 is in the books, and WWE is following it up with an all-new mobile game announcement alongside Sega. Sega has announced a partnership with WWE for an all-new mobile game titled WWE Mat Mania. There hasn’t been much announced about a genre for it, but WWE has found mobile success before in a variety of genres. The mobile Mortal Kombat engine was used for WWE Immortals, while a three-in-a-row puzzler template was used for the new WWE Champions game.

WWE’s greatest mobile success is their card game WWE Supercard. All that is known is that it will be released on both Google Play and iOS and be a free-to-play game. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for new information on it though, as both Sega and WWE have done quite well on mobile devices, and a partnership between the two companies makes sense in that realm. Hopefully, it’s a more wrestling-centric game than just a regular game with a wrestling theme to it, but time will tell just what kind of game they go for.
