30th Anniversary of Dizzy Celebrated With New NES Game Release

Dizzy was an early puzzle-platformer that achieved great success on European home computers, and a mild success on the NES. The developers, the Oliver Twins have released the latest entry in the series – one that was planned for an NES release in 1993, but never saw the light of day. You can play it either in-browser, via an emulator, or enjoy it on the original NES hardware with a flash cartridge. Mystery World of Dizzy can be downloaded right on the page, and you can check out its digital manual as well. Beating the game shows off a hashtag that you can use alongside a photo, just like in the old days, to redeem for goodies via a contest on either Twitter or Facebook. The contest runs from April 8 through May 31, and you can’t cheat to win.
