Shiny Shoot ’em Up Pawarumi Nears Halfway Point on Kickstarter

When a developer refers to their game as a “neo-Aztec arcade shoot’em up,” you can’t help but pay attention. Pawarumi is a vertically-scrolling shooter in a retro-futuristic landscape inspired by Aztec iconography.

The player’s ship offers three weapon types to do the following: heal, charge a super attack or do double damage. The gameplay is akin to rock paper scissors in that you’ll need to decide when to use what attach to survive bullet barrages.

Pawarumi was already Greenlit and is still looking for funding on Kickstarter. They’re raised about half the goal so far and have thirteen days left on the clock.
