New Dev Diary Details Design Decisions in Upcoming RiME

Tequila Works’ RiME is on the way but before its official debut we’ve been graced with developer diary number two that details some of the design decisions. We hear from concept artists, sound designers and everything else in between.

RiME is a third person adventure game where you’ll play a young boy with a red cape on a desolate island inhabited by all sorts of ancient ruins. The developer diary goes into detail how each area has specific color palettes that will be used to display different emotions as if the island is a character unto itself. The music will also add emotion as it will dynamically change depending on the player’s actions.

RiME will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 26, 2017 and for Nintendo Switch later this summer.
