The Internet Archive, or Archive.org, became especially well known with gamers when they added in web-based emulation for arcade and DOS games. Now they’ve just unveiled a curated collection of early Macintosh software.
So far they’ve released the first set of software which includes versions of Frogger, Space Invaders and more. The set currently includes software released from 1984 to 1989.
As with previous releases on the Internet Archive, users can simply run the Macintosh emulator in their browser to play without needing to download anything. Of course, for archival purposes, the original files are also available for download if desired.
