Project Scorpio to Include AMD Vega Architecture

The AMD Vega architecture is the next graphical progression for AMD’s video cards for PC. It is due to release later this year, and according to Andrew Goosen, Technical Fellow, Graphics, some of these enhancements will be prevalent in Project Scorpio. In an interview with Eurogamer, he mentions that some performance optimizations were taken from the architecture. It seems that Microsoft is not even referring to the AMD architecture as Jaguar anymore, as it has evolved so much from the original Xbox One. There are also components from AMD’s current architecture, Polaris, that will be included in this system. Microsoft is almost touting this as a next generation console. Expect to hear all the missing details at E3 2017.
