Marvelous has been doing a great job of bringing their console fare to PC so it was only a matter of time before Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni popped up on Steam. The brawler is from the same development crew as the Senran Kagura games, and while it’s a bit weirder in the story setup, the fighting action flows just as smoothly as the mammary-based fan service once things get underway properly. Teenage girls have a virus that lets them transform into weapons, and while it’s not stated that a side-effect is their chests turning to jello it seems the only possible explanation. The cure to the virus, of course, is fighting, which frequently involves clothes exploding right off the girls’ bodies. It’s pure pandering but there’s a slick fighting engine underneath it all to provide an “I just read it for the articles” justification.
Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni hits Steam later this summer. Check out the Hardcore Gamer review of the PS4 version here to fill in a little time during the wait.
