EA and DICE intend to make this summer the Summer of Battlefield with the release of brand new content.
In order to make this summer the best time ever for Battlefield 1 players, DICE is prepping some new content. First up is the new Prise de Tahure night map, which is scheduled to be released shortly for testing on the CTE. The map is set in the autumn after Nivelle Offensive. The French have taken back the heights in the Butte-de-Tahure region, but now must hold it against German forces. With plenty of trenches cutting through several villages, players can expect plenty of action and destruction. DICE did not reveal when the map will be released, or if it is a free map for everyone or just Premium owners.
DICE also reiterated that Nivelle Nights, another night map, is still set for a June release. This map will not be free for everyone. Only owners of the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass are getting it.
DICE also confirmed that the second DLC map pack, In the Name of the Tsar, will make it’s grand debut at EA Play 2017. We’ll get out first look at the various maps and weapons players can expect from the Russia-themed expansion. However, the DLC still has a ways to go and won’t launch until late this summer.
