Call of Duty: Black Ops III is getting a fifth DLC pack, and it focuses exclusively on Zombies.
Jason Blundell, co-studio head at Treyarch, had quite the surprise for Zombies yesterday. Appearing on JCbackfire’s channel, Blundell confirmed that DLC 5 is indeed happening for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and that it would be exclusively about Zombies. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombie Chronicles remasters eight classic Zombies maps into one package.
Zombie Chronicles contains only remastered Zombies maps. There won’t be a new Zombies experience, or any multiplayer maps. The collection of Zombies maps were curated from previous Treyarch games:
- Call of Duty: World at War – Nacht Der Untoten, Verruckt, and Shi No Numa
- Call of Duty: Black Ops – Kino der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-La, and Moon
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Origins
Treyarch will host a live steam on Monday, May 8 at 11am PDT to showcase the remastered maps. The DLC will launch May 16 on PS4, and release on other platforms 30 days later. Pricing remains a mystery, and it is unknown if Season Pass owners will get Zombie Chronicles for free.
