During today’s Starstream event, Starbreeze revealed that heist simulator Payday 2 will be receiving VR support in a free update later this year.
As shown off in the teaser below, Payday 2’s VR mode will feature cross-play with the standard PC version, and will include the ability to complete actions with motion controls, such as ordering hostages and reviving teammates. The entire game will be playable in VR via the HTC Vive, with a beta expected in the near future.
In addition to PC, Payday 2 is also available now on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3, with a Switch version slated to launch this Fall. For more on the 2013 FPS, check out our review of the Xbox One and PS4 versions, which discusses its inconsistent nature, for better or worse.
