Even people who aren’t big Tekken fans may know the tale of Heihachi and Kazuya. Before there was a Jin or a Devil Jin, there was Heihachi and his son, Kazuya. Long story short, Heihachi threw Kazuya into a volcano. That, among plenty of other reasons, is why the father and son do the opposite of bond and get along. That said, this cycle of familial violence may finally come to an end if the opening cinematic to Tekken 7 is anything to be heeded. Sure, fighting games are definitely not the best choice for an engaging, consistent story, but they definitely don’t drag their feet when it comes to conflict.
