Ubisoft has revealed when the first Far Cry 5 news will go live, and when we can share our impressions of the game.
Far Cry 5 is the fifth main entry in the Far Cry franchise, and is taking the series into uncharted territory. As revealed a few days back, Far Cry 5 will bring the franchise to the United States. Specifically, the game will take place in Hope County, Montana.
This is a huge, risky change for the franchise. As such, Ubisoft invited Hardcore Gamer to check out the game early and see how Far Cry works in an American setting. Our preview of Far Cry 5 and interview with the game’s director will go live alongside Ubisoft’s big announcement. Be sure to check back Friday, May 26 at 6am PDT to see what we thought about Far Cry 5. In the meantime, Ubisoft has sent over some artwork for us all to check out.
The artwork is very sinister in keeping with the traditional Far Cry theme (Vaas sitting over a skull and Pagan Min subjugating a subject). Far Cry 5’s key art is a spoof on The Last Supper, a famous painting by da Vinci. Based on the art, expect to fire lots of weapons, aide the people of Hope County, and go up against the man front-and-center.
