Quickly approaching the release of Final Fantasy XIV’s second major expansion pack, Square Enix is ramping up their promotional material and revealing more long overdue information. We had a detailed look at the gauge and job changes last week, but this week we get a look at one of the most vital parts of any expansion: new locales.
Square Enix has released a new lengthy video today, showcasing the various new areas you’ll get to explore in a couple of weeks. It’s not just the eastern aesthetic the Japanese publisher has been touting since the expansion was first revealed, as Stormblood contains deserts, huge open terrains, vast seas, and just a plethora of variety when it comes to environments.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will be available June 20 for PC and PlayStation 4. If you pre-order it, though, you’ll have access to the game four days earlier on June 16.
