Pokémon GO continues its wave of catching different types from June 13 until June 20. During this time you’ll find much more Fire and Ice types in the wild.
You will be able to catch Charmander, Cloyster, Piloswine, Slugma and many others. It’s a great chance for trainers to evolve many rare Pokémon from these typings as well. In addition to finding them, you’ll also earn huge experience boosts from catching Pokémon with first tries and curveballs. There’s more points gained from hatching eggs too.
The fire and ice event is in celebration of the summer solstice for the Northern Hemisphere as well as the wintry side of things for friends in the Southern Hemisphere. Luckily, you’ll be able to find both types no matter which half of the globe you live on.
