Today Activision made known that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has been made into a standalone title, all for the low price of 39.99 USD, and the added perk of an earlier release date for PS4 owners.
Talk of whether Modern Warfare would be getting a standalone remaster have been circulating for some time. With fans of the series having asked for a standalone remaster since Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s release last year.
The standalone remaster will have all the features, plus some, that came with the first remaster which was part of Infinite Warfare’s package. Additions including tons of new weapon skins, character skins and even the new micro-transaction system introduced last year.
One of the downsides is that the remaster does not come with the Variety Map Pack which includes maps from the original Modern Warfare, having been included with Infinite Warfare. It will be a separate purchasable expense coming out to 14.99 USD.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remaster will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, again, coming first to PS4 June 27 with later release dates to follow. Relive the memories or see what it’s all about for the first time in the trailer below:
