NIS America Bringing The Longest Five Minutes to Nintendo Switch

During this year’s Anime Expo, NIS America announced that The Longest Five Minutes — a tale of an amnesiac hero trying to recall forgotten memories while caught in the midst of a final battle with the big bad of one’s adventure — will be coming to the West on Nintendo Switch alongside a release for both PC & Vita, early next year. The game was previously speculated to launch in 2017 but has seen its release date for the West pushed back into 2018. The Longest Five Minutes is already out in Japan on the Vita.

The Longest Five Minutes puts players immediately in the position of fighting the final boss, requiring them to dip into the main character’s memories based on conversations they have between allies and the final boss alike– illustrated through the style of an 8-bit RPG of sorts — whereby player action will determine whether your party becomes stronger or weaker when it comes to inevitably taking your foe down.
