As if two new Yakuza titles weren’t enough, the studio behind Sega’s acclaimed series of games have unveiled an entirely new and different project in the form of an upcoming Fist of the North Star adaptation, under the title of Hokuto Ga Gotoku. Anyone who has even a faint knowledge of anime/manga will have heard of Fist of the North Star. Originally a manga that ran from 1983 to 1988, the series gained additional popularity through its two season run as an anime between 1984 and 1988, detailing a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by nuclear war but focused specifically on lead protagonist Kenshiro and his rather deadly, rather violent string of martial arts fighting.
So far the game has only been confirmed for release in Japan on PS4 and as such no news on a possible localisation is available at the time. Check out the game’s official announcement below.
