If you can recall all the way back to January of this year during the Nintendo Switch Presentation, you might remember developer Suda51 appearing on stage (in quite comically exuberant fashion) and seemingly confirmed that a new No More Heroes game was in the works. Well after a long period of dead silence on the supposed project, Grasshopper Manufacture have at last officially unveiled what was previously referred to simply as No More Heroes 3. And the name has been announced as No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again.
Taking place seven years after the events of the original, Travis Touchdown’s latest crusade seems to be veering towards a number of collaborations with fellow independent developers and their respected properties as was shown in the trailer (below) with the appearance of an in-game rendition of Hotline Miami — all of which manifests through the power of the satanic-like video game console, Death Drive MK II. It’s unclear how integral a role these collaborations will have in the overall story/gameplay, but it’s clear that Grasshopper’s signature art-style and direction won’t be lost on this long-awaited title. No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018.
