Scorn Shows the Horror in New Trailer

In a world of Kickstarter games and Itch.io services, games that really stand out are something special and studio Ebb Software has launched a Kickstarter for upcoming title Scorn. It is as horrifying as it sounds.

The studio has had Scorn in development for the last two years with the team growing to twenty, even partnering with Humble Bundle, which helped immensely. Now they want to really make sure the game they are presenting is as polished as can be, they just need some help to do it. If the trailer is any indication this game is looking good and might just be worth your money. The Kickstarter goal is pledged at $178,597 with 34 days to go.

Scorn will be a two-part title and the completion of Part 1 is almost done. The Kickstarter will help hammer it home with additional resources and polish, releasing the game they want to and not just a game rushed out the door. If the Kickstarter does succeed Scorn is planned for a release sometime in 2018.

Scorn is described as an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game that takes place in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry.

“It is designed around the idea of ‘being thrown into the world.’ Isolated and lost inside this dreamlike world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a nonlinear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.”

Scorn is looking to take horror games even further by combining everything horror games have come to be. Players will acquire different skills, weapons and various items, all while trying to comprehend and take in the sights presented. Each situation will constantly require the player to rethink and adapt to every situation. All of the games features can be found on the Kickstarter page; it’s worth the look.

Scorn looks disgusting, terrifying and mysterious. See it all in the trailer below:
