EA and DICE have released a scene from Star Wars Battlefront II’s campaign.
While multiplayer will undoubtedly be what keeps people playing Star Wars Battlefront II in the long run. However, that doesn’t mean the new single player campaign won’t be worth checking out. Telling an original, canon story in the Star Wars universe, Battlefront II’s campaign has been left mostly a mystery. That is, till now. EA and DICE have released a cutscene from the upcoming campaign, showcasing the top-notch production quality they’re pouring into it.

Iden meets with her father, Garrick Versio, aboard a his ship orbiting Vardos. They are approached by a Messenger droid, an agent of the Contingency, which is the Emperor’s sinister plan to be put into effect should he die.
The scene comes from early in the game. The Death Star II has been destroyed, and the Rebels were successful in killing Emperor Palpatine. As outlined in the Star Wars Empire and Star Wars Aftermath books, the Contingency was built to punish not only the Rebellion, but also the Imperial forces that failed to keep Palpatine alive. His mission for Iden will put her on a collision course with his final wishes.
Star Wars Battlefront II is out November 17 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
