For the past few weeks, Codemasters’ F1 2017 has offered a qualification for their professional e-sports series. Featuring two different circuits, points were awarded to the competitors based on time and assists while those with the highest have moved on to London for this competition. For the first time, 40 of these players are competing for a spot in the first ever F1 E-Sports Grand Prix. This will consist of two heat races in London with Silverstone and Interlagos selected. The 20 drivers who get the highest point scores will move on to the Grand Final at the 2017 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Live coverage of the Semi-Finals starts at 6PM (BST) and is being broadcast on f1esports.com and on Twitch.
