Tekken 7 Director Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that the 3D fighter has surpassed a major sales milestone.
Tekken 7 launched back in June to strong reviews. We found it to be an enthralling game that successfully brought the franchise onto current-gen consoles. What we don’t know is how well the game has done commercially, especially considering that fellow fighters Street Fighter V and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite haven’t been doing too well. Well, we now have an idea, and it’s doing very well.
Taking to Twitter, Harada answered a fan who was wondering how well the game was doing commercially. Turns out, the game has shipped two million units since June. Considering Bandai Namco was hoping to hit 2.1 million units by the end of the fiscal year, it looks like Tekken 7 is quite a success.
Over 2 million now (2017 June to September).

Tekken 7 is the seventh main entry in the Tekken franchise and the first on this-generation of consoles. The story once again follows the intra-family conflict between Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya.
Tekken 7 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
