Thus with such a large following having built up over the past few years, the developer has today announced that the Cuphead has gone platinum, selling through in excess of one million copies since its launch on September 29.
“We have worked tirelessly over the past few years to deliver a game that remained true to our vision and we are both humbled and excited that so many people from around the world are playing Cuphead,” the team stated on their official blog. “It truly makes it all worth it.” Unless you’ve been living under a sizeable rock this whole time — or have actively gone out of your way to ignore the activities of the indie section of the industry — the news should come as no surprise, but nonetheless still stands a hefty and remarkable feat for MDHR’s debut game.
