Team Fortress 2 Gets Update Ten Years On

It’s been just over a decade since Valve put out The Orange Box and in said box was one Team Fortress 2, the shooter that grew an avid fan following along with a ridiculous number of hats. Ten years later the game is getting a big update that comes with a brand-new map.

The update title Jungle Inferno is described as such on the game info page “After a decade of dustbowls and gravel pits, it’s time to pack your snorkel, find your flip-flops, and endure a series of painful yellow fever vaccinations to your abdomen, because Team Fortress is heading to the tropics!”

The main feature being the new map named “Mercenary Park” (because Saxton ran out of yetis) which is full of tropical dieses and plenty of bullets to spare. Mercenary Park is a three-control point map which has been crafted in house. Mercenary Park isn’t the only new map on the way with community upvoted maps; Lazarus, Mossrock, Banana Bay, Enclosure and Brazil on the way. Team Fortress has a few new emotes too, which include Dueling Banjos, Yeti Punch and one-handed pushup of the Russian Arms Race.

These are all Day One announcements Valve has planned with more announcements on the way for Days Two, Three and Four on the game info page.
